2018 Community Young Adult Employment Fair
The City of Bowie Gymnasium and Bowie Youth & Family Services are hosting a community job fair for young adults on Saturday, March 24, 2018, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the City of Bowie Gymnasium. The goal of this job fair is to connect local employers with young adults, ages 16 to 24, seeking employment. Last year's event had over 250 young adults in attendance and more than 15 local employers participated.
This year's confirmed participants to date include:
- University of Maryland, College Park
- Prince George's County Police Department
- Ernest Maier Block Construction
- Newk's Eatery
- CMT Services, Inc.
- Barnola, LLC.
More employers are registering every day!
Bowie area employers who are seeking young employees are invited to register for a table at the event. Registration ends on March 20, 2018. Tables are free but space is limited.

Interested Young Adults
Job seeking young adults can pre-register for the event now or register when you arrive at the event. The event is free for young adults.
Soroptomist International, an organization that promotes the social and economic empowerment of women, will have representatives at the event to assist all young adults with resume building and interview readiness.
Resume and Interview Workshop on March 20, 2018
On Tuesday, March 20, 2018, Soroptomist International, will also have a seminar from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Bowie Gymnasium, for young adults to build their resumes and learn successful interviewing techniques. To attend this event on March 20, 2018, young adults must pre-register for the Employment Fair and indicate on the registration form (at the bottom of the form) that they will be attending the workshop. The workshop is free and open to all young adults. Participants must register in advance.
