Salary Continuation Plan/Short Term Disability

The City provides Short-term Disability coverage for illness or injury that is not job related. This is called "Salary Continuation." It is available for up to 6 months. Employees are eligible for this coverage after successfully completing the new hire probationary period.

Benefits are equal to 2/3 (66.66%) of their weekly pay. Medical documentation is required and the employee will be placed on Family/Medical Leave (per FMLA) in addition to the salary continuation plan.
