Bowie's Hometown Parade will be Saturday, May 27, 2017
The City of Bowie’s Memorial Day Parade Committee has planned another exciting parade for this year. It takes place on Saturday, May 27th beginning at 11 a.m.
The parade is a great way to salute all of our service men and women and the veterans who have served in the past and have some fun!
The parade begins at the Belair Annex on Belair Drive. It marches down Belair, turns right on Sussex Lane, and right again onto Stonybrook Drive. The reviewing stand and bleachers are in front of Acorn Hill Park (next to the Bowie Community Center). The parade concludes after the reviewing stand as the performers turn left from Stonybrook onto Sage Lane and disperse in the Bowie Marketplace parking lot.
Bring a chair and enjoy the parade from anywhere along the parade route or sit in bleachers next to the reviewing stand at Acorn Hill Park and listen to the announcer introduce each participating group.
Food vendors and portable restrooms will be available in Acorn Hill Park.
