  1. Rain Barrel Workshop

    May 11, 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Kenhill Multipurpose Room 101

    What is a rain barrel and how can one be useful to you? Find out at a workshop hosted by the Bowie Lions and the City. We'll start by understanding why collecting roof runoff is important, and the Lions will then talk about the rain barrels they make and sell as a fundraiser. They will have some for sale at the end of the workshop for $75. No RSVP needed. Light refreshments will be served.

  2. Bowie Heritage Day

    May 15, 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM

    Celebrate Bowie History at the Belair Stable, Belair Mansion and the Bowie Railroad Museum. The Stable will host free pony rides, bluegrass music, the Pint Sized Preakness Race and hands on history activities. Bowie's Big Purple Barn will bring real live critters to enjoy. Belair Mansion will offer hands on history for kids, an opportunity to work on our reproduction quilt, and a 10% discount on shop sales. The Bowie Railroad Museum host the NTrack Model Club at the Station. And, as a special event, the Prince George's Genealogical Library will hold an open house from 12-4. Addresses for all Museum sites are on this website. Come have fun and enjoy 265 years of Bowie History!

  3. Community Picnic and Music Festival

    May 15, 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Allen Pond Park

    Pack your picnic basket and head to Allen Pond for an evening of fun, fellowship, and song at Bowie's biggest neighborhood picnic. Eight choral groups/bands from local elementary schools will perform! This is a free, family friendly event...come meet your neighbors, enjoy Allen Pond Park and celebrate Bowie's Centennial year!

  4. ImagineBowie Celebration

    May 17, 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ City Hall Lobby

    Stop by this open house to celebrate 100 years with 100 ideas for Bowie’s future. A collection of images from Bowie's past and present will be on display along with a list of goals developed by you for Bowie's Sustainability Plan. Attendees can give final thoughts on the plan by participating in activities at the event. Also, everyone will be invited to take a pledge for the future of Bowie.
