  2. Acceptance of Meeting Minutes (9/3/2009)

Old Business

  1. Action items from previous meeting:
    1. Information on State, County, and/or City specifications for shelter operation (Larry/Robin)
    2. Update: description of process and forms used by the City to track the disposition of animals brought to the County’s Animal Management Facility (Larry/George/Sandra)
    3. Future meeting times and dates: (refer to Item 3.E., in the CBASTF Meeting Minutes dated 9/3/09 and separate handout attached to this agenda). (Larry)

 

    1. Update: modification of the City’s Web site (Larry/Robin)

New Business

  1. Further discussion of the visit by Task Force representatives to the County’s Animal Management Facility in Upper Marlboro on 8/26/09. (Michael/Karen)
  2. Discussion of metrics provided by the County and City to document the actual numbers and types of animals forwarded from the City to the County facility and their disposition. (Larry/Jim)
  3. Discussion to determine the need for a City of Bowie Animal Shelter. (Jim/Michael/Karen/Robin)
    1. Short-term temporary shelter for animals
    2. City of Bowie Animal Shelter
  4. If the Task Force decides that Items 6.a) and b) are not currently supportable then a discussion to “. . . identify an array of options to bring pets and owners back together.” (Michael/Karen)
  5. Review of the proposed outline for the interim report to the Council due October 2009 (Robin)
  6. Future tasks and assignment (action items)
  7. Audience participation (up to three members of the audience with a presentation time limit of 3 minutes each).
