Excellence in Education Reception

The City of Bowie and the Education Committee have been celebrating Excellence in Education for over 20 years. This event recognizes teachers for providing excellence, in their classrooms and schools, and in the education of their students. Dignitaries, including the Governor, Senators, and Representatives from the federal and local government, the education community and the Bowie community are invited to a gala affair each spring, to honor teachers selected by their peers in eligible public and private schools located in Bowie.
