Paraprofessional Award

As there are many paraprofessionals working with students in the local schools, assisting teachers in working with students, the Education Committee developed an award to specifically recognize someone who goes beyond the expectations of someone in this position to provide opportunities for success of the students with whom they work. Nominations must come from principals, assistant principals, teachers or other educators at eligible schools.

An Education Paraprofessional, for the purpose of this award, is an aide or other person who is not trained or hired as a teacher, but who works directly with children in a classroom or small group setting within a school.

This award is given once per school year! The honoree receives coupons for dinner from a local restaurant. The Committee would like to thank Texas Roadhouse for providing dinner for two to this year’s award recipient.
