Excellence in Education Scholarships

The City has set up a fund which accepts donations from developers, businesses and interested individuals for the purpose of providing scholarships to graduating high school seniors. This money is made available for Excellence in Education scholarships. Over the years over $50,000 in scholarships have been awarded to students who live in the City.

Students wishing to be considered for academic scholarships should contact the Guidance Office at their high school and let them know that they are residents of the City and would like to be considered for nomination. The student must have a minimum GPA of 3.5, live in the City of Bowie and have been accepted at an accredited college or university. No application form is included here as eligibility is by nomination from the school. Applications are mailed to high schools attended by Bowie students.
