How to Apply
Write to the City Council c/o the City Clerk expressing interest in serving. Include a resume or background information. The City Clerk will schedule an interview for the candidate with the City Council. The interview, which is informal, provides an opportunity for the City Council and the applicant to get to know each other. This is also an opportunity for the applicant to make inquiries of the Council concerning the activities of the committee the applicant is interested in.Once selected by the Council, the City Clerk will inform the applicant of the appointment and when the swearing-in will take place. Membership on some committees may require the submission of a financial disclosure statement.
