Become a Volunteer

Learning first aid, CPR, or how to be better prepared will help you and your community during an emergency.
There are many opportunities for training, usually the cost is free or minimal.

These organizations and others are always need of volunteers.

American Red Cross
The American Red Cross offers first aid, cpr, aquatics, and caregiver training. They also offer a series of disaster response training for volunteers. For more information call 301-559-8500

Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT)
Prince George's County Office of Emergency Management trains individuals in emergency response through a program called Community Emergency Response Program (CERT). CERT Teams are being trained throughout the County to be assist in times of national or natural emergencies.
