Memorial Day Weekend Parade

Everyone loves a parade and the citizens of Bowie are no exception!

The Memorial Day Parade is a chance for you to join with your family, friends and neighbors to honor the memory of those members of our armed forces who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect the freedom we enjoy today.

The 2012 parade will be held on Saturday, May 26th and will start at 11a.m. and the starting point for the parade is at the Bowie High School Annex (3021 Belair Drive.)  Once we leave the driveway of the school the parade will make a right turn and go towards Annapolis Road turning right onto Sussex Lane, and make another right onto Stonybrook Drive, ending with a left turn on Sage Lane.

Whether you prefer to be a participant in the parade or stand along the parade route cheering those in the parade, bring your flags and wear your red, white and blue and become part of this great event that celebrates American pride. For more information call 301-809-3011 or email the Special Events Coordinator.

Please note: In October 2010 the City Council adopted Parade Rules to govern participation in the annual parade. All participants are subject to the rules stated in this document.
