License your pet

All dogs, cats and ferrets in the City of Bowie must have and wear a current Prince George's County license. You may purchase this license at City Hall in the Animal Control Office (Room 100) between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

For your convenience licenses may also be obtained outside of normal business hours until 9 p.m. on weeknights and from 8:30 a.m. through noon on Saturdays at the reception desk at City Hall. During these hours we ask that you please pay by check or money order.

Bring proof of a rabies vaccination and proof of spaying or neutering if applicable. The cost is $25, or $5 if your pet has been spayed or neutered. Prince George's County licenses are valid for one year.
