Pet Pickup

When a Bowie Animal Control Officer picks up a pet and is unable to locate the owner, a description of the pet, a photograph and additional information will be posted on this page. The posting will remain for five days. When a City Animal Control Officer is not on duty, Prince George’s County Animal Control is contacted. Pets picked up by the County can be viewed at www.petharbor.com

Pet Pickup Alert subscribers will receive an alert notifying them a pet has been picked up and referring them to this page.

Unfortunately the Animal Control Officer also has the sad task of disposing of pets who are deceased when found. The Animal Control office maintains a data base to assist residents in identifying pets who may have met an untimely death.
