Residential Rates

We would like to take this opportunity to explain our water and sewerage rates and billing procedures.

The following rates are in effect July 1, 2011 for the system:

Facility Charge	$30.00 – Per quarter
Usage Charge	$7.54 – Per 1,000 gallons of water billed of which $3.10 is for water and $4.44 is a sewerage surcharge
Advance	$50.00 – Applied against your final bill
Customer Service Charge	$25.00 – Non-refundable
Bay Restoration Fee*	$7.50 – Per quarter

*The Bay Restoration Fee is collected by the City of Bowie and sent directly to the State of Maryland.

These rates are subject to change by City Council action.

The City bills for water and sewerage service every three months. Your first bill may not cover an entire three month period and will be prorated accordingly.
