Census “Movers and Shakers” Event

Census 2010 is coming!

Bowie’s Community Outreach Committee is planning a Census “kick-off” event at 9 am, on Saturday, February 6th at Bowie Town Center’s Food Court. “Movers and Shakers” have been invited to represent their groups, organizations, businesses and schools, at this event. Information and ideas will be shared with these community leaders, to take back to share through their newsletters, emails, bulletin boards and other means of getting the word out!

Members of the Samuel Ogle Middle School Chorus, under the leadership of Music Teacher, Mr. Southall, will perform. The program, which includes Mr. Fernando Armstrong, Regional Director of the Philadelphia Region for the US Census Bureau (The State of Maryland is part of the Philadelphia Region), will run from 9 am until about 10 am.

Information will be available for residents who would like to stop by to join us, and to find out more about Census 2010, until noon.

If you are a leader of a groups or organization in Bowie, and have not received a letter of invitation, please contact us and plan to come out and join us on February 6th, as we may not have had your contact information.
