Grants Workshop

The City of Bowie’s Arts, Community Outreach and Education Committees invite community members to attend a grants workshop on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at 7 PM at Bowie City Hall.  Community Members, including individuals, people working with groups, organizations, schools and/or non-profits who plan to apply for grants are encouraged to attend.

There will be two parts to this workshop. There will be a presentation of general information about seeking and applying for grants, provided by the City’s Grants Administrator, Jesse Buggs. This will include areas such as:

• Finding a grant to fit your needs
• Being sure your project fits with the grant purpose and requirements
• Completing the application and being certain that everything is included
• Tips to consider in seeking and completing any grant application

This will be followed by three breakout sessions. The City of Bowie’s Arts, Community Outreach and Education Committees will present sessions that will cover information specific to each of these. Application and selection processes will be covered.
