at the Bowie Skate Park in Allen Pond Park

On Sunday, June 26 from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. the Owens Ski & Sport and the City of Bowie will host its 3rd annual skateboarding competition.  The day’s activities will include a skateboarding competition with limited public skating.  Only 60 spaces are available for skaters interested in registering for the competition, so don’t wait to enter.  You can register on-site beginning at 9am, provided there are still spots open or you can pre-register through Owens Ski and Sport (Crofton location).  There will be public skating and restricted competition warm-ups from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., when the 1st round of competition starts.  All skaters and competitors are required to possess a valid Bowie Skate Park I.D. in order to skate at this facility.  Skate Park registration can be completed on-site.  All skaters are required to wear a helmet with chin-strap secured while skating.

Participants and spectators are encouraged to bring a lawn chair, sunscreen, and sunglasses as there is limited shade at the Bowie Skate Park.  Please do not bring your pets to this event.
