“Back to the 60’s!”
Coming soon to a museum near you! Not the movie…the exhibit!
In celebration of the Golden Anniversary of Belair at Bowie, the Belair Mansion is planning to host an exhibit – “Back to the 60’s” – featuring memorabilia from Belair at Bowie’s earliest days.
Do you have a High School yearbook – from any school in the Bowie region? Are your love beads or bell bottoms still in the drawer? How about your lovely melamine dishes or stainless tableware from the era? How about a psychedelic poster or a Beatles album cover? What do you have stored from the “Summer of Love”? Flower Power stickers? What object do you have that you’ve saved that takes YOU back to the 60’s?
The City Museums Division is seeking items for a fun exhibit during the late spring/early summer of 2011. Help us get “back to the 60’s” by loaning your objects to the exhibit.
