SUBJECT: Pumping, Hauling and Disposal of Sludge, Grit and Debris From Sludge Separator Tanks and Dumpster at WWTP - R-46-08
DATE: July 9, 2008
Legal notices were placed and bid packages were sent to selected firms for the pumping, hauling and disposal of sludge, grit and debris from sludge separator tanks and dumpsters at the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). The contract is for a period of one year from July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009. Upon mutual agreement between the City and the Contractor, the contract can be renewed for three (3) additional one (1) year periods. Pricing for each renewal year was provided which represents the projected cost increase for each renewal year. One bid proposal was received from Lee’s Septic Tank Service, Inc. Below is a tabulation of their bid proposal:

The Public Works Department recommends that the responsive and responsible bid proposal from Lee’s Septic Tank Service be accepted, which is within budget.
