Appropriation for the Annual Budget
for the Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2009

Ordinance O-3-08 provides a supplemental appropriation for the fiscal year
ending June 30, 2009 for the purpose of funding the replacement of Senior
Center Bus #70. The bus is inoperable and staff recommends the replacement
of the vehicle rather than attempting to repair. The bus has had continual
maintenance problems.
A replacement bus has been identified on a United States Government Services Administration contract in the amount of $66,938. The bus was originally scheduled for replacement in FY2010. Funding for the replacement bus will come from the Equipment Acquisition and Replacement Fund, which has reserved $51,200 to date for the replacement of the bus, with another contribution of $6,400 scheduled for FY2009. An additional transfer from the General Fund of $9,400 is required to replace the vehicle.
Council’s approval of Ordinance O-3-08 providing a supplemental appropriation for the annual budget for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2009 is requested.
