R E S O L U T I O N

OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOWIE, MARYLAND
SUPPORTING THE EXPANSION OF MARYLAND HISTORY DAY
PARTICIPATION IN SCHOOLS IN PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY

WHEREAS, the Maryland Humanities Council has applied for an allocation of tax credits through the Community Investment Tax Credit Program from the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development; and

WHEREAS, the purpose of the tax credit is to support expanding participation in Maryland History Day by schools in Prince George's County; and

WHEREAS, each local jurisdiction with middle and high schools are being asked to pass a resolution in support of the program.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Bowie, Maryland, that the Council supports the expansion of Maryland History Day participation in schools in Prince George's County.
