SUBJECT:	Whitemarsh Park Irrigation and Master Plan
DATE:	October 15, 2009

            At the October 5th Council Meeting, a contract award for irrigation at Whitemarsh Park was deferred by Council (attachment).  A concern was voiced that the small football field proposed to be irrigated could potentially be affected by recommended changes in the upcoming master plan for Whitemarsh Park.  Staff agrees, and therefore it is recommended that all irrigation bids be rejected.

            Council allocated $25,000 in the FY10 Budget for a Master Plan for Whitemarsh Park.  Staff is working on the Request for Proposals (RFP).  A contract award in the first calendar quarter of 2010 is anticipated.  User groups would be involved in the develop-ment of the master plan.
