Status Report

1.  Asphalt/Concrete and Pervious/Impervious

Attached is information requested by City Council pertaining to asphalt/concrete and pervious/impervious paving.  For the reasons outlined in this report, staff would not recommend any modification to the City Hall project at this point.  Any modifications would have minimal benefits because of the characteristics on this particular site, increased costs and could result in project delays.

2.  Murtagh I Synthetic Turf Field

The Grand Opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for the Murtagh I Synthetic Turf Field has been scheduled for Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at 6:30 p.m.  Informal youth play will follow the ribbon cutting.  Formal invitations will be sent to the Community Recreation Committee, BBGC President Sam Graham, and interim SBBGC President Stan Conrades.  An event flyer will also be provided to Bowie- based soccer and lacrosse commissioners.
