Status Report

1. Maryland Economic Development Association (MEDA)

The City’s Economic Development Director, John Henry King, has been selected as Program Chair for the Maryland Economic Development Association (MEDA) for the 2010-2011 program year.  In that capacity he will lead a committee of MEDA volunteers in preparing the four major educational meeting programs held quarterly.  This is the second time Mr. King has been selected to lead this committee for MEDA.  In addition, Bowie resident David Iannucci was elected as MEDA President, Mr. Iannucci is a former Secretary of the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development.

2.  Speed Cameras

Speed cameras are working at the Belair Drive location near the Belair Annex.  Cameras were activated there last week.
