CITY COUNCIL MEETING
MONDAY, JULY 23, 2001
CALL MEETING TO ORDER
A Special Meeting of the Bowie City Council was held on Monday, July 23, 2001 in the Council Chambers. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Robinson at 8:00 p.m.
QUORUM
In attendance were Mayor Robinson, Mayor Pro Tem Peters, Councilmembers Aleshire, Brady, Ellington, Green, and Jenkins; City Manager Deutsch, Assistant City Manager Fitzwater, Members of the Staff, the Press and the Public.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG
The Council led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
CONSENT AGENDA
Councilman Brady moved approval of Consent Agenda Items: A. Approval of Resolution R-76-01 Amending Resolution R-66-01 Approving the Designation of Old Town Bowie as a Community Legacy Area and the Application and Receipt of Financing for Community Legacy Projects in Bowie, Maryland to be Financed Either Directly by the Department of Housing and Community Development of the State of Maryland or Through Other Departments or Agencies of the State of Maryland; B. Approval of Minutes of June 4, 2001 Council Meeting; and C. Approval of Minutes of June 11, 2001 Council Meeting. The motion was seconded by Councilman Jenkins and carried unanimously.
ADJOURNMENT
Councilman Brady moved that Council adjourn this meeting and reconvene in a Worksession. The motion was seconded by Councilman Jenkins and carried unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 8:05 p.m.
