SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOWIE CITY COUNCIL
MONDAY, MARCH 28, 2005


CALL MEETING TO ORDER

The Special Meeting of the Bowie City Council was held on Monday, March 28, 2005 in the Council Chambers at City Hall. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Robinson at 8:00 p.m.

QUORUM

In attendance were Mayor Robinson, Mayor Pro Tem Jenkins, Councilmembers Aleshire, Brady, Kroemer and Lyles; City Manager Deutsch, Assistant City Manager Fitzwater, Planning Director Meinert and Planner Stevens, the Press, and the Public. Councilmember Booker Jones was excused.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG

The Council led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

CONSENT AGENDA

Mayor Pro Tem Jenkins moved approval of the Consent Agenda Items: A. Approval of Minutes of February 22, 2005 Council Meeting; B. Resolution R-18-05 – Approving Entering into Agreements of Sale with Winchester Homes to Sell City Owned Property on Central Avenue Commonly Known as the Entzian Property and City Owned Property on Swanson Road Commonly Known as the Hohensee Property. The motion was seconded by Councilman Brady and carried unanimously.

NEW BUSINESS

Councilman Aleshire moved that Council direct staff to prepare a letter of support for the foreclosure protections bill HB-1288 to send to the local delegation. The motion failed for lack of a second.

ADJOURNMENT

Mayor Pro Tem Jenkins moved to adjourn the Special Meeting and to move into a Worksession. The motion was seconded by Councilman Brady and carried unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 8:05 p.m.
