SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOWIE CITY COUNCIL

CALL MEETING TO ORDER
The Special Meeting of the Bowie City Council was held on Monday, May 23, 2005 in the Council Chambers at City Hall. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Robinson at 8:00 p.m.
QUORUM
In attendance were Mayor Robinson, Mayor Pro Tem Jenkins, Councilmembers Aleshire, Booker Jones, Brady and Kroemer, City Manager Deutsch, Assistant City Manager Fitzwater, the Press, and the Public. Councilmember Lyles was excused.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG
The Council led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
CONSENT AGENDA
Mayor Pro Tem Jenkins moved approval of the Consent Agenda Items: A. Resolution R-30-05 – Authorizing the City Manager to Execute An Annexation Agreement with the Southern Maryland Agricultural Association (“SMAA”), Establishing the Terms and Conditions Governing the Proposed Annexation of the Bowie Race Track and Stables Including Approximately 183.154 Acres of Land Located on Both Sides of Race Track Road, North of the Saddlebrook Subdivision Into the Corporate Limits of the City of Bowie; and B. Resolution R-32-05 – Authorizing the Issuance of A Contract for Detailed Design of Gallant Fox Renovation to Frederick Ward Associates. The motion was seconded by Councilman Brady and carried unanimously.
ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Pro Tem Jenkins moved to adjourn the Special Meeting and to move into a Worksession. The motion was seconded by Councilman Brady and carried unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 8:02 p.m.
