City Gymnasium

In February of 2001, the City of Bowie Municipal Gymnasium opened on Northview Drive, next to the Bowie Senior Center. This 27,000 square foot, $3.5 million facility quickly became one of the most popular amenities offered by the City.

The facility consists of two full sized basketball courts (one 84' x 50' and the other 90' x 50') overlaid with two intermediate basketball courts (74' x 42') and overlaid with five volleyball courts (30' x 60'), which can also be used for young basketball players. The gym can be partioned into quarters with ceiling to floor curtains to allow for various activities at the same time. The facility also includes two team rooms that can be divided into four smaller rooms, a sitting and concession area, and office and storage rooms.

Various teams and organizations have scheduled time at the City gym. During open gym sessions the gym may only be used by City residents, living within the corporate limits of the City. The purchase of annual membership card is required.

Saturday 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Sunday 10 a.m. - 9 p.m.

The Gym will be closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.
