1. Rosso Property Stakeholders Meeting
A Stakeholder's Meeting was convened on Tuesday, August 15th to discuss a
proposed Preliminary Plan for the Rosso Property, located in the northeast
quadrant of Springfield Road and Duckettown Road. The site is 26 acres
and is zoned R-R (Rural Residential). Thirty-one conventional lots are
proposed for single-family detached homes. The models will range in size
between 2,300 sq. ft. and 3,300 sq. ft. The base price has not yet been
determined, though it will be above $500,000. No residents attended the
meeting, although 160 notices were mailed out. The developers have been
working with a few of the adjacent property owners and
M-NCPPC to address environmental concerns. The County Planning Board hearing
is scheduled for September 7th. Groundbreaking is anticipated in either fall
of 2007 or early 2008

3. 1409 Perrell Lane
The owner of the burned out home at 1409 Perrell Lane has obtained both County

It is expected that the building will be demolished and debris removed
by the end of the week.
4. Melford Motion
It has been brought to my attention that some Councilmembers may not have seen
the original handwritten copy of the motion adopted on August 1st regarding
the covenants. It is included in the package today.
