Status Report

1. Glenn Dale Golf Course Active Adult Community (Preliminary Plan #07025)

On Thursday, April 24th, the Prince George’s County Planning Board voted unanimously to approve the Preliminary Plan for the proposed Glenn Dale project. The proposed plan includes the existing 18-hole golf course and up to 390 condominium units on 152 acres located on the west side of Hillmeade Road, south of Fletchertown Road. The City Council previously voted to recommend approval with four conditions, all of which were included in some form in the final plan.

2. Digital TV Workshop

A reminder that the workshop hosted by the Information Technology Committee is on Tuesday, May 6th from 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room at City Hall.

3. New Police Officers

The following officers will be sworn in as members of the Bowie Police Department on Monday evening:

PFC Timothy Welsh of Randallstown was most recently a member of the Towson University Police Department for two years.

PFC James Sullivan of Bowie was most recently an arson investigator with the Prince George’s County Fire Department for 20 years.

PFC Christopher Bell of Baltimore was most recently a member of the University of Baltimore Police Department for two years.
