Disposing of Hazardous Waste
Hazardous waste is not collected at curbside. Hazardous waste and electronics are accepted from Thursday through Saturday at the Household Hazardous Waste Acceptance Site in Upper Marlboro 8:00 am till 3:30 pm.
Located at the Brown Station Road Sanitary Landfill, hazardous waste disposal is open and free of charge to county residents who need to dispose of harmful household waste. Only non-commercial vehicles allowed.

Electronics Recycling Acceptance Site
County residents may drop off their used and unwanted electronics at this site, free of charge.

Televisions & monitors
A maximum of five monitors and / or televisions (non-console) per vehicle may be dropped off on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

- Small appliances (e.g. toasters & microwave ovens)
- Compact discs (CDs, DVDs)
- Console televisions
