Census 2010

The US Census Bureau website is the main source of information pertaining to the 2010 Census.  The City is working in partnership with Prince George's County to promote the 2010 Census.  Prince George's County has formed a Complete Count Committee which is developing and implementing a locally-based outreach and awareness campaign.  The objective is to ensure that everyone is counted when the Census commences.

Census Day is April 1, 2010.  Survey questionnaires will be distributed in March.  The Census form is the "short form" consisting of ten questions that can be answered in approximately ten minutes.  A more detailed questionnaire is used in the ongoing American Community Survey (ACS), which captures data from the community in three-year intervals.  The first annual ACS report for Bowie was released in December 2008 for 2005 to 2007 and the most recent one covers the years 2006 to 2008.
