Excellence in Education Reception
May 13, 2008

The 23rd Annual Excellence in Education Reception will be held on May 13, 2008 at the Bowie Center for the Performing Arts. This year’s location allows for a very different program from the variety of venues hosting this event in the past.

For 23 years the City of Bowie has recognized many wonderful teachers who have taught students at schools located in Bowie, at this very special event, sponsored by the City’s Education Committee. Honorees are selected by their schools as their outstanding teacher for the year.

Following an “invitation only” Reception in the Recital Hall, for honorees, principals and dignitaries, Bowie residents are invited to attend the program portion of the event, in the auditorium, during which the actual presentations of certificates, proclamations and other documents recognizing the special efforts of the teachers, will be made.

The following teachers will be honored at the 2008 Excellence in Education Reception:
