City of Bowie Offers Excellence in Education and Arts Scholarships
Arts Scholarships for High School Seniors

Art Scholarships
The City of Bowie offers Arts Scholarships for high school seniors who will be pursuing further education in the arts. To be considered, students must be residents of the City of Bowie,* have at least a 3.0 grade point average and be planning to major in a visual or performing art field. Applications may be obtained at high schools, on the city web site or from the Department of Community Services at Bowie City Hall. The application deadline is Wednesday, March 12, 2008. Excellence in Education Scholarships for High School Seniors
The City of Bowie offers Excellence in Education Scholarships to graduating high school seniors. High schools attended by Bowie students have been sent applications and asked to nominate seniors at their schools who meet the eligibility criteria. This includes being a resident of the City of Bowie*and having a minimum grade point average of 3.5. High school seniors should contact Guidance Counselors at the school attended to express interest in being considered for nomination.

*Please Note for both Scholarships: communities with Bowie zip codes are not necessarily within the City limits of Bowie. Residents of the City pay taxes to and receive services provided by the City, rather than Prince George’s County.
