A reception will be held for student artists and their families on Monday, May 19th, at 7 pm, in Conference Room #204 at Bowie City Hall. Students whose artwork is exhibited will receive certificates for their participation. Friends, neighbors and interested community residents are invited to join us at the reception as well.

The Young Person’s Art Gallery is a joint project of the City of Bowie’s Arts and Education Committees. This gallery is located in the entrance foyer at Bowie City Hall (2614 Kenhill Drive). During the school year, artwork from a school located in Bowie is displayed in the gallery. The Arts Committee Poster Contest winners are shown in July. In August, the artwork of individual young artists who reside in a Bowie community, or attend a school located in Bowie is exhibited. Youth artists may submit their work by June 13th to be considered for the August exhibit.

The Gallery is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM until 10 PM, and on Saturday from 9 AM to 5 PM, for your enjoyment. If you would like more information about any of the Art Galleries at Bowie City Hall, please contact the Arts Committee at 301-809-3068 or lstern@cityofbowie.org.
