Bowie Police Team Up With Other Local Law Enforcement Officials on Operation
On Monday December 17th, the Bowie Police Department conducted a multi-agency operation in conjunction with the Prince George's County Sheriff's Office. Officers from the City of Bowie, Prince George's County Sheriff's Office, Maryland State Police, United States Marshal's Service, Prince George's County Police, United States Secret Service and the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office participated in the operation which was done between the hours of 6 p.m. and 1 a.m. As a result of the operation, 20 individuals were arrested on outstanding warrants that ranged from DWI to Felony Theft and Domestic Assault. A total of 27 warrants were served, 72 warrants were investigated and disposed of and more arrests are expected over the next few days as a result of the operation.
“This operation is just one in a series of ongoing cooperative law enforcement
initiatives in the City of Bowie. By working together, our municipal, county,
state and federal agencies increase their effectiveness and provide layers
of law enforcement service to our community,” said Chief Perez.
