SEASONAL PARK RANGER
COMMUNITY SERVICES
Responsibilities: Seasonal Park Rangers provide assistance to park patrons, monitors permitted usage at picnic sites and ball fields, and assists in the boat rental operation at the Allen Pond Boathouse. Ensures compliance with park related City Codes that are designed to promote park safety & proper usage practices. Provides security & labor during City sponsored special events. Extensive evening and weekend work required.
Education and Experience: High school diploma. Experience or education in parks and recreation, natural science, public relations, or public safety preferred. Experience with use of cash register preferred.
Special Requirements: Valid MD driver’s license. Must be certified in First Aid & CPR or be able to be certified within 3 months of hire. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of background investigation.
