Ice Arena

Overview

The City of Bowie Ice Arena is a year round ice skating facility. When it first opened in 1971 it was only a seasonal facility, but today the Ice Arena is open for skating July through April each year. The 2021-22 skating season marks the start of the 50th season of skating at the City of Bowie Ice Arena.

The facility offers ice skating for all ages and levels. Discounts are available for City of Bowie residents as well as groups and families.

The Bowie Ice Arena is home to the Bowie Figure Skating Club, Bowie Hockey Club, Bowie High School Ice Dogs and the Bowie ISI Figure Skating Team.

What's Happening at the Ice Arena

The facility is now closed for annual maintenance. We look forward to seeing our skating family back on the ice in July!

We are working our way back to normal operations. With the reopening of the facility in July, there will be no restrictions in place regarding masks or distancing. Daily temperature checks and health screenings along with waivers will still be required. Locker rooms will be open for users.

Monthly calendars are posted throughout the season.
