Old Bowie Celebrates! Festival
The Bowie International Festival has been combined with the Old Bowie Celebrates Festival, which usually takes place the first Saturday in October. There will still be food, dance, and music from around the world, but you'll also find a variety of vendors and fund activities at this festival set in historic Old Town Bowie.

The festival is organized by a committee of community volunteers, with support from the City of Bowie. For more information on the Old Bowie Celebrates Festival go to festivalsteeringcommittee@gmail.com.

Green Bowie Veterans 5K

The annual Green Bowie Veterans 5K is a free, family-oriented, sustainable and fun way to honor the many veterans we have here in the City of Bowie. This is a fun-run and walk, and is not competitive. Every year the event brings together "green" groups, veterans groups, and groups that promote physical activity.

Veterans Day 5k 6

Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony

For more than 50 years, the Bowie community has come together to sing holiday songs and to celebrate the lighting of a decorated tree. Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus usually make an appearance on the back of a fire truck at the end of the ceremony, which takes place on the first Sunday in December at 7 p.m.
