In general, there are two times during a regular meeting when the public may make comments:
Citizen Participation: During Citizen Participation at the beginning of the meeting, the public may speak about any topic relating to Bowie. The time limit is five minutes.
During Public Hearings: The public is encouraged to offer comments on a particular issue being voted upon by the Council during the Public Hearing portion of regular meetings. The time limit is five minutes.
Written testimony that is submitted to the City Clerk will no longer be read at a Council meeting. Instead it will be attached to the minutes of the meeting and be part of the record of the meeting.
Call the City Clerk's Office at 301-809-3029 to verify meeting agendas or to sign up to speak at a Council meeting.
