Responsibilities


This department provides professional support through long-range special studies and recommendations on development proposals to the City Manager and the City Council. A growing focus of the department is on initiatives to preserve and protect our environment, through our Green Bowie initiatives led by our Sustainability Planner and Watershed Manager.  

Three volunteer committees assist this department in carrying out its mission:
