Free Workforce Training Program for Young Adults

  • Do you need help figuring out how to approach the working world?
  • Do you need help gaining job skills?
  • Are you interested in a career in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM)
  • Would you like to start your own business?

If you are between the ages of 15 and 25 and answered yes to ANY of the questions above, then you can benefit from the City of Bowie's Workforce Training Program.
 
This FREE program offers residents between the ages of 15 and 25 an opportunity to learn life skills and to develop workforce skills. It also includes information on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) career paths. A second module focuses on Innovation and Entrepreneurship for those interested in owning their own businesses.
 
Application Period
The application period for this virtual program  is January 10 - February 18, 2022. The program will run from mid-March through early May.

If you are under the age of 18, you will need to submit a signed parental consent form to complete your application, which can be downloaded here. If you do not have a signed form available, you can still submit the application form and email the signed consent form to worktraining@cityofbowie.org.

Life Skills and STEM Careers (4 sessions/1 per week)
Youth Sessions (ages 15-17) - Tuesdays, 6 to 8 p.m.

Session 4 - April 5

Adult Sessions (ages 18-25) - Thursdays, 6 to 8 p.m.
Session 1 - March 17
Session 2 - March 24
Session 3 - March 31
Session 4 - April 7

Innovation & Entrepreneurship (2 sessions/1 per week)
