Home-Based Resources
If Skype is not a useful tool for your production, you may prefer to produce at home using field equipment or creating a narration-based production in a home editing environment.
Adobe Premiere
The software that the studio uses is Adobe Premiere Pro, which is the professional version. (It should not be confused with the consumer version, called Premiere Elements.*)
Premiere Pro can be purchased for $20.99/month. https://www.adobe.com/products/premiere.html
* You may find the Elements version to be a significant step backwards. For example, you will not be able to “scrub” by slowing the audio or listening frame by frame to find air-tight spaces between spoken words. That is a pretty basic need for narration-based production.
Training
Adobe Premiere training is available through various online training sites.
Online classes are also available on LinkedIn Learning, which is free through the Prince George's County Memorial Library System.
Studio technicians can also provide one-on-one remote training to you.
