Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Maryland

The Bowie Police Department is thrilled to host the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics each year. We support the incredible athletes of Special Olympics and are honored to carry the Flame of Hope through Bowie on Thursday, June 15. Check in time is 8 a.m. at Bowie Plaza (6796 Laurel Bowie Rd). The race starts at 9 a.m. 

You can register on the Maryland Special Olympics website or you can Venmo the Special Olympics Maryland organization.

How to Venmo:

  • Go to the Venmo App
  • Go to Pay or Request
  • Type in specialolympics-maryland or scan the QR Code belowvenmo QR
  • Enter the amount due
  • In the notes section please have people type in:
    • your name
    • shirt size
    • Bowie Police Department

The Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run's committed purpose is to raise awareness and funds for the athletes of Special Olympics Maryland. As such, the Torch Run is never a race, but a friendly group run with a single goal in mind.
