In order to be vaccinated, your animal must be:

  • At least 12 weeks old
  • Secured on a non-retractable leash or in an escape-proof carrier. Children are not permitted to hold the leash or carrier.
  • Muzzled if it is an aggressive dog

Pets with valid proof of prior rabies vaccination are eligible for a three-year vaccination certificate. All other pets will receive a one-year rabies certificate. Please bring your valid rabies certificate to your appointment.

Prince George's County law requires that dogs, cats, and ferrets are licensed and that their rabies vaccinations are kept up-to-date.
