The Financial Advisory Committee was formed in 1998 to review and advise the Council on the City’s fiscal condition and to enhance the distribution of financial information to the community.
The Financial Advisory Committee advises and reports to the City Council with its recommendations on the following:
The Budget and six-year Capital Improvements Program
Methods to increase citizen participation during the Council’s review of the budget
Workload and Performance Indicators
Benchmarking to other cities of comparable size and financial condition
The Annual Comprehensive Financial Report
Identification of potential grants
Enhancement of the public information plan for distributing financial information to the community
