Neighbors Helping Neighbors Teen Job Bank

teenagers

As a public service, and in an effort to encourage teen employment and volunteerism, the Department of Community Services compiles a directory of jobs and services offered by teens, ages 13 through 18, living in the City of Bowie. Residents living within the municipal limits of the City of Bowie are encouraged to enlist a teen to help with jobs such as yard work, snow shoveling, computer work, gardening, etc.

How the Teen Job Bank Works

  • Teens register to provide services, either paid or on a volunteer basis.
  • Residents seeking help or services register with the Job Bank.
  • City staff provides the resident a list of teens to contact who are willing to do the work
  • The resident and teen negotiate the terms of work.

About COVID-19

All participants in the Teen Job Bank program during the COVID-19 pandemic will be required to complete a COVID-19 waiver. Use of the Neighbors Helping Neighbors Teen Job Bank during the pandemic indicates agreement with the terms of the COVID-19 waiver.

Resident Application Process

Your waiver will be kept on file in the event you may wish to contact other teens.
