The City of Bowie will host a free concert and fireworks display to celebrate Independence Day on Tuesday, July 2 at Prince George's Stadium. The concert, by legendary band, The Fabulous Hubcaps, begins at 7:30 p.m. and the fireworks will shoot off at around 9:15 p.m. The fireworks show will include an exciting array of pyrotechnics that will be visible beyond the stadium.
The Fabulous Hubcaps have been together for over 40 years. They play cover music from many famous singers and bands of yesteryear, while dressing in outfits that the original performers would have worn. Attendees can expect songs by Tom Jones, Billy Joel, The Drifters, Benny Goodman, Cher, The Platters, Elvis, Buddy Holly, Tina Turner, Frank Sinatra, Little Richard, the Beach Boys and more during the performance.
Prince George's Stadium is located in Bowie, near BJs and off of Ballpark Road (The address is 4101 Crain Highway).
