    Bring your family and/or friends and join us for a Classic Rock performance by Graydog at Town Green Park. *Concerts are canceled in the case of inclement weather. Because storms often pass through quickly, decisions about concert cancellations will not be made until right before the concert is scheduled to take place.     "The Negro Motorist Green Book was an annual guidebook for African-American roadtrippers to give the Negro traveler information that will keep him from running into difficulties, embarrassments and to make his trip more enjoyable." This quote is by Green Book author Victor Hugo Green. Historians Ann Bruder and Susan Pearl discuss the creation and impact of his "Green Book" and the connected sites in Prince George’s County.

  3. Bowie Farmers' Market

    September 22, 2019, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Bowie High School Parking Lot

    Our annual Farmers' Market is now open! It operates every Sunday until October 26 from 8 a.m. to noon in the parking lot at Bowie High School. Visitors will find a broad selection of fresh fruit and vegetables, breads and baked goods, jams and jellies, cuts of beef and goat meat, ice cream, fresh cut flowers, and bedding plants. The participating vendors maintain a Facebook page where you can find the latest information about their offerings.

  5. Weed Warrior Workday

    Join members of the Green Team, Natural Resources subgroup as they work to remove English ivy from trees. English ivy is an invasive species and is bad for trees for a number of reasons. The group meets three times in the fall and three times in the spring to help our local parks in Bowie. This is a Student Service Learning hours opportunity and is open to 30 participants each time.
