The Ethics Commission is the advisory body responsible for interpreting the Ethics Article. In fulfilling this charge, the Commission performs the following duties: reviews financial disclosure forms, issues advisory opinions regarding application of the Ethics Ordinance, oversees lobbyist registration and reporting, addresses ethics complaints, and educates the public on the purpose and implementation of the Ethics Article.
